Good-to-Know – New Year’s Craft
Make your own confetti poppers!
Gather:
- 2 Toilet paper rolls
- Decorative Paper
- Tissue Paper
- Bottle Cap slightly smaller than the toilet paper rolls
- Confetti
- Glue
- Tape
- Scissors
- A straw or small dowel
- First, decorate 1 toilet paper roll with decorative paper with any color you like
- Glue a square of tissue paper on one end of the roll
- Fill the toilet paper roll halfway with confetti
- After that, take a bottle cap that is slightly smaller than the end of the 1st roll. Put a little drop of glue inside center of the cap and glue the end of a straw or dowel on to it.
- Then cut a lengthwise slit into the 2nd roll and glue the roll around the bottle cap – once it’s glued, the 2nd roll should be a little smaller in diameter than the 1st roll.
- Decorate the second roll and slide it half way into the roll with the confetti
- When it’s time to celebrate – you push the inside roll all the way through and the confetti comes out.
