Solar Farm
The desert is becoming a solar hotspot due to its abundant sunlight and open acreage. Riverside County recently approved the Crimson solar project, a solar farm located in Blythe, that will soon begin construction. California is hopeful to achieve a clean carbon footprint by 2045. Memorial Day Weekend Events
The Corona Chamber of Commerce hosts the 6th Annual Memorial Mile March on May 29th.
The Riverside National Cemetery in the City Of Riverside hosts “A Flag For Every Hero” where the community is invited to help place an American flag by every graveside.
On Memorial Day, May 31st, The American Legion will be holding a special remembrance program at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona.
In Murrieta, The Memorial Day observance takes place near the Fallen Warriors Monument at Town Square Park.
The City of Norco will host a special Memorial Day tribute and continuous salute at the George Ingalls Veteran Memorial Plaza.
Other Events
Jurupa’s Park and Rec Department is rolling out a new season of monthly movie nights at various parks around town. On Saturday June 12th, you can catch Trolls World Tour At Cedar Creek Park, starting at dusk.
The City of Corona announced a summer-only bi-weekly Monday Night Market launching June 14th.
JDS Creative Academy’s two-week Script-To-Stage Performing Arts Summer Camp begins June 14th. Fall classes begin August 30th which include scriptwriting and fashion design/ backstage production. Beginning on September 29th, you can help produce the Haunted Studio for Halloween or join the Hollywood meets Broadway Musical Theater Classes which feature a Road to Broadway version of the play Super You.
