Need-To-Know – Props/ Politics

Voters everywhere will have to make many important decisions in this national election and every state, city, and county will have different issues on their ballots. In this segment, we mention the nonpartisan Riverside County Superior Court Judge’s race. This is what to look for when it comes to evaluating candidates for this position. The two candidates running for the open judge seat are Prosecutor Gerald Pfohl and Commissioner Elizabeth Tucker .

On the local front, there are four candidates running for the Temecula Unified School Board who are endorsed by the Temecula Valley Educators Association . They are David Sola , Gary Oddi , Allison Webster Barclay , and Steven Schwartz .

Residents in Murrieta, CA also have important choices to make with three open school board trustee positions. The Murrieta Education Association endorses candidates Yvonne Munoz , Deon Mario Hairston , and Linda Lunn .

In Lake Elsinore, CA, the school board incumbent Jennette Vanderpoole is defending her position. Voters in Lake Elsinore will also need to decide between City Council District 2 incumbent and former mayor, Steve Manos and challenger Marvin Andrade , a small business owner.
