IMPACT – WATER SHORTAGE IN CA

Weather extremes brought on by climate change are impacting California’s water supply. Eastern Municipal Water District has tips that will help protect and ensure critical water supplies for future generations.

Adding mulch around plants helps reduce evaporation, reducing or removing grass and replacing it with water-wise landscaping will save up to 50 percent of water needed outdoors. Residential turf removal rebates are available and can be accessed through SoCal Water$mart.

Disaster can strike at any time. Learn how you can be prepared by visiting Riverside County’s Emergency Management Department.
Riverside County’s emergency operations call center can be reached via 951-358-5134, Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, and is open to aid residents whose homes were damaged or lost in the fire.

Calfresh recipients have until October 5th to report their food loss due to the fire, and request replacements. To report food loss, call 1-877-410-8827 or go to their website.

The County of Riverside seeks qualified applicants to assist with the upcoming election.

The Microbusiness Covid-19 Relief Grant Program provides relief to microbusinesses and entrepreneurs in the county that were hit hard by Covid-19. Apply before October 31, 2022.
