Can you believe we are just days away from August!? Feels like we were just anticipating Summer and now, we are already planning for Halloween!

Weekly, we enjoy making it easy for you, a Riverside County resident, to stay in the know with need-to-know information, happening right here in your backyard!

With that said, let’s get right into it!

The county of Riverside is offering 100% funded education for your vocational training if you meet the eligibility criteria. The study areas include Healthcare & Computer Programs. As listed on the county’s website eligibility includes being a Riverside County resident, you must have a High School Diploma/GED, are laid off from work/receiving unemployment benefits/ recently exhausted unemployment benefits/low-income family and you are not enrolled in any other school presently. More details can be found here. The program is funded by the Workforce Development Center.

A couple of cities in the region are celebrating National Night Out which takes place on August 3, 2021. Cities will celebrate by bringing Public Safety Personnel out in the community in an effort to give residents the opportunity to meet their hometown heroes who keep their streets safe.

Perris is hosting theirs at 6:00 PM at Morgan Park.

The city of Riverside and the city of Menifee will be celebrating as well!

Are you looking for a job? We encourage you to check out the county’s website here!

The Governors Office is now accepting applications for the California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC). Applications are due on August 16.

If you plan on traveling on Ortega Highway this weekend, make note!

Have a great rest of the week and a wonderful weekend!
